# MP3 encoder source download

for ZoneBuilder's LAME 3.100 / wasm-media-encoders 0.7.0 encoder.

The archive includes readable source, the original build files, licenses,
SHA-256 checksums, explicitly historical published references, and `rebuild-mp3.py` with
instructions in its `README.md`. It does not install or execute itself.
It is available at the same application-relative address for a root or
GitHub Pages subpath deployment and needs no authentication.

[manifest.json](manifest.json) records the download's size/hash, each packaged
file hash/origin, and the current application runtime artifact hashes.
The current WASM was built from this package. Its SHA-256 is
`a1d8ba08c80ec5e63d62ad30685e9656c9032126e9cd3b9c95991f8e17083b68`.
[Reproducibility evidence](REPRODUCIBLE_BUILD.json) binds the exact source
archive to the documented clean rebuild and byte-identical current runtime.
Verify the downloaded archive before extraction against that manifest; then
run `sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS` or `shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS` inside it.

Use Emscripten SDK 2.0.8 and its recorded Node runtime for the MP3-only helper.

This download is available separately from normal playback/startup. It is not
precached or imported as executable app code. Explicit downloads can be cached
by the existing service worker. Keep matching source and notices alongside
every version of the encoder offered to recipients; retain older packages
when retaining their binaries. There is no automatic pruning or written-offer
fulfillment service.
